Good morning, Write Edge readers! As we close out 2018, I wanted to offer you a wish or two. This has been a year full of tumult for many, on many different levels and for a variety of reasons. In these times of chaos, it’s imperative that we hold fast to our dreams. When life, or world, events knock you down, gather some of the rubble and use it to build the foundation for your aspirations. Even the most sincere dreams require work, as we’re reminded in this week’s motivational quote:
“An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself.”–Charles Dickens
It’s the last Monday of the month, so I’m sharing a few pieces that caught my eye. Achieving our goals truly is a group effort, and I believe in supporting the writing community. It makes sense, then, that I turn the focus to them. This month’s picks are a little tart, a little sweet, but definitely enjoyable for consumption. Find them now on The Write Edge Writing Workshop!
I’ll be taking the rest of the week off from blogging to spend time with family, but I’ll return next Monday with more stories, more book reviews, and more parenting adventures for 2019. Thank you so much, readers, for sticking with The Write Edge and its ancillary blogs.
I wish you a joyful, healthy new year.
