Hello, Write Edge readers! Happy Monday. Here we are, on the cusp of another month. This summer has flown by, but the efforts at excellence continue. Any life passion we pursue requires a relentless approach. Keep going, keep pushing, keep striving for the best you can possibly do.
This pursuit for excellence really isn’t a difficult thing to understand. There are no secret formulas or concoctions that guarantee a person “makes it.” It’s just good old-fashioned hard work and persistence. The process for creative pursuits may not always be easily explained, but the path to success is. For more on that, go now to “A Writer’s Heartbeats” for this week’s motivational quote.
In addition to striving for excellence in our own efforts, it’s important to look to others who are working in the same areas as us. We can always learn from them and their high moments. That’s why I love featuring other writers; I always feel like I learn something. Today, the last Monday of the month, is the writers showcase. The pieces I have for you include some poetry and also a story or two to make you shiver in the best way possible. Read all of them in the writers showcase now on The Write Edge Writing Workshop.
On Wednesday I’ll share a brand new book review with you. Come back in the middle of the week to find out what I thought about The Marriage Pact by Michelle Raymond. You’ll find that review on The Write Edge Bookshelf this week!
This Thursday we go back to our regularly scheduled programming with writing prompts for Monday’s short fiction, and at the end of the week I’ll share the latest Spurts on Growth Chart.
Have a great week, readers!
