I am happy to provide a sample edit free of charge so writers can see firsthand the quality of my work as well as get a chance to interact with me on a trial basis. The size of the sample edit depends on the length of your manuscript. For works shorter than 30 pages/15,000 words, I will sample edit 3 pages/1500 words from the middle of the manuscript. For manuscripts longer than 30 pages/15,000 words, I am happy to sample edit 5 pages/2500 words from the middle of the manuscript.

Under 30 pages/15,000 words flat rates apply—proofreading is $15; manuscript assessment is $25; combination package is $35
For manuscripts longer than 30 pages/15,000 words:
Proofreading/line editing rates—$0.75 per page
Manuscript assessment—$0.95 per page
Combination package—$1.50 per page
