Good morning, Write Edge readers! I’m quite happy because I got a huge chunk of unpacking and organizing done this weekend. I don’t know about you, but to me I feel such an encouragement when large sections of the house come under order and stay that way. It’s enough to make a girl want to sit down and start writing immediately.
To that end I’m happy to say that we’ll be getting back on track this week with our schedule. Ready to start your week with your scheduled dose of encouragement? Click on “A Writer’s Heartbeats” for this week’s inspirational quote. I find it an interesting comment on pursuing writing as a profession.
Also, I have a brand new “Exercising the craft” for you today that proved to be an interesting challenge for me. Sometimes a writer’s heart captures bits and pieces, scraps and doodles of a story, and I think that’s what I have for you. Read more on today’s contribution to our Year-long Writing Workshop.
This Wednesday I’ll share with you my review of a book releasing next week. Debut novelist Jason Mott shares with readers and fans of his poetry and short stories his book The Returned, an examination of what might happen if the dead really came back to us. Want to know if I think this book is worth checking out? Check The Write Edge Bookshelf in the middle of the week to find out!
At the end of the week I’ll share with you in a full-fledged Chart my daughter’s process of testing for the gifted class in second grade. Come back on Friday for all of those details and my thoughts on The Write Edge Growth Chart.
It’s wonderful to be back, and I hope you enjoy all the content this week. Have a fantastic week, readers!
